Internship/Service Experience:
Working at the American Civil Liberties Union as a part of the Urban Leadership Internship Program was my first experience with a non-profit organization. There I met incredibly talented, dedicated, and tireless advocates for social change and was inspired to become such an activist myself! Though my work is more in the area of environmental sustainability than social justice and equality, I learned how fulfilling it can be to pursue a career of service to humanity. Now I work for an organization that educates people about solutions for oil depletion and climate change and will continue to work for a more sustainable, cooperative, and just society.
