Internship/Service Experience:
Interning with the Interfaith Youth Core (IFYC) was an opportunity of both personal and professional growth for me. As an intern in the Development department l learned the ins and outs of how a non-profit works. Perhaps more importantly, I was able to fully participate in a staff that has a deep passion for the work that they do. Building religious pluralism among young people is not just a job at the IFYC--it is a calling. What is more, I have been able to take what I learned working for the IFYC and implement it in my work promoting religious pluralism on Miami's campus. I have also kept in contact with the IFYC and met many more youth organizers from around the country because of this connection. Without the Urban Leadership Internship Program this experience would not have been possible.
