Internship/Service Experience:
My internships provided me great experience for my future. Working with children and adolescents has always been the population I wished to work with and my time in Columbus helped solidify that. At St.Vincent Family Center I learned a great deal about life in a residential home for children and adolescents. By working with the teacher at the beginning of my placement I was able to get to know the students, which later allowed me to feel comfortable in leading groups with the kids.

At St.Stephen's Community Center I was able to be truly independent in my work and at times overwhelmed with managing 14 six year olds! In both placements I was able to bond with the children and learn about the organizations and the communities they served.
