URBAN LEADERSHIP INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
Who Can Participate?
The program is open to all sophomore and junior Miami students with at least a 3.3 GPA, whether or not they are in the Honors Program. In order to participate, students must agree to complete all aspects of the program, including a Spring term sprint course preparing students for the internship, two intern gatherings in the summer, weekly journal entries during the internship and a final reflection paper.


What kind of jobs do students get?
In the past, students have worked at diverse organizations including:

Chicago
The Field Museum, The Chicago Architecture Foundation, Morgan Stanley, The University of Chicago Medical Center, City Farm, Chicago Botanic Garden, The Shedd Aquarium, Chicago World Trade Center, Changing Worlds, Muejeres Latina in Accion, Heartland Alliance, and Bluhm Legal Clinic.

Columbus
Children's Hospital, Boys and Girls Clubs, City of Columbus Urban Planning Department and Economic Development Department, Abbott Labs, St. Stephen's Community Center

Cleveland
Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital, Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Policy Matters Ohio, Cleveland Pay House, Cleveland Council on World Affairs, Museum of Contemporary Art, Community Shares and Westhaven Youth Shelter
